This indoor/outdoor natural science museum is a hidden gem in Jackson. I loved the combination of the aquarium, greenhouse, and various exhibits showcasing local flora and fauna. The dinosaur exhibit was a real crowd-pleaser, especially for kids. You can wander the trails outside and even picnic nearby, making it a perfect family outing! Just remember to bring a map for the dinosaur trail—it’s a fun little adventure.
The museum is part of the ASTC network, meaning you can access many other places for free, which is a fantastic bonus for travelers. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions. While it might seem a bit outdated in certain areas, it’s clean, organized, and absolutely worth the visit, especially for families with young children.
If you’re in Jackson, don’t miss out on this enriching experience—it’s a great mix of education and fun! The location next to the Children’s Museum and the scenic park adds to the excitement. Grab your kiddos and enjoy a day filled with dino thrills and nature wonders!
13. Dancing Rabbit Golf Club, Philadelphia, US
Dancing Rabbit Golf Club has two standout courses, the Azalea and the Oaks. The layout of the courses is stunning, with tight fairways and impressive bunkers. However, be prepared for slow greens that might test your patience. On my visit, the courses were in decent shape, but I noticed some areas in need of a little TLC.
The staff’s attitude left much to be desired, as they seemed overwhelmed and offered little assistance. If you plan to play here, make sure to check the weather beforehand and avoid it after rain, as the cart paths can become tricky, especially for older golfers. There’s room for improvement, but the gorgeous views and challenging layouts are so inviting.

The park has well-maintained facilities, including clean bathrooms and free hot showers. Fishing on Mayes Lake is a delightful experience, and if you have kids, they will love the playground. Plus, the picnic areas under towering shady trees provide relief from the Mississippi heat!
I recommend visiting Lefleur’s Bluff for its natural beauty and the chance to relax while enjoying the outdoors. It’s easily accessible and perfect for anyone needing a break from city life. Just be on the lookout for the alligator! Who knows, it might just pop by for a visit.
