However, I did notice some areas are currently under renovation, which can put a damper on the experience. Although, the staff is super friendly and helpful, making it easier to enjoy even when it gets crowded. You can grab a snack at the café, although I must say, a little tidying up wouldn’t hurt!
If you’re in Los Angeles and looking for a family-friendly day out, this should definitely be on your list! The combination of learning and fun is just what every day needs.

Did you know white tigers often face serious health issues due to inbreeding? I learned that and so much more!
While the sanctuary is primarily aimed at adults (sorry kiddos!), the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The highlight for me was feeding a lion—what an unforgettable experience! The only downside? The tours were timed, which limited our feeding time. But seeing these animals thrive made every second worth it. I highly recommend adding Lions, Tigers & Bears to your must-visit list in California!
13. Knott’s Berry Farm, Buena Park, US
