I spent about an hour and a half just soaking it all in, and the gift shop is a charming bonus with unique items for sale. If you’re in San Jose, it’s a small yet compelling museum that art lovers, sewers, and textiles enthusiasts should certainly check out. Who knows, you might just recognize yourself in those stunning sewn portraits!

The Exploratorium is an exciting spot for both kids and adults! I loved how hands-on the exhibits were, encouraging everyone to engage with science in a playful way. My favorite was the Dream Garden, where we could move around and interact with animations. I mean, who wouldn’t enjoy turning into a living character with just a wiggle?
Don’t skip the IMAX Dome theater—it’s a must-catch! I watched the Blue Whale documentary and was totally blown away. The seating could use a bit of a recline, though, for that ultimate movie experience. Plus, the cafe at the entrance offers a nice selection of snacks, although the popcorn left something to be desired!
If you’re in downtown San Jose, bringing the kids here is a no-brainer! Expect a fun-filled day with lots of curiosity-spurring exhibits. Just a heads up, go early on weekends to avoid the crowd and snag some convenient parking. You won’t regret it!

Don’t miss out on the Kaiser Permanente adventure grove, which is a hit among the kids! I personally found the price to be quite reasonable for the experience offered.
While some exhibits could use a little sprucing up, the friendly staff members made our visit memorable. It’s an excellent value for families looking for a fun day out without breaking the bank. Trust me, your kids will be asking for a return visit in no time!

When I visited, I appreciated the variety of attractions available, even though a few were closed. At least the waiting lines were short, which was a pleasant surprise!
However, the food situation left a bit to be desired. Waiting over 45 minutes for a meal in the sun can be quite draining. I couldn’t help but think how nice it would be to bring our own snacks to enjoy in the shade instead. The cabanas are appealing, but a bit disorganized and pricey, so consider your options before renting one.
Despite these hiccups, Raging Waters is a great place to enjoy a sunny day. The fun atmosphere and ample seating areas make it a solid choice for families looking to make a splash. Plus, the memories made here are priceless, even if my sunburn this time was not!
