Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park

Lost Paradise is an absolute gem for families seeking fun in Manama. The wide variety of rides kept my kids entertained for hours, from thrilling slides to lazy rivers. The themed zones are delightful, making it easy to relax while soaking up the sun. I appreciate the friendly staff, especially at the swim-up bar, who are dedicated to making everyone feel welcomed.

The food options are decent, but I suggest bringing your own snacks to save some money. There’s nothing quite like munching on pizza while watching kids splash in the wave pool. The facilities are well-maintained; however, I recommend visiting in the late afternoon when the weather is cooler. Just a heads up about the bag checks at the entrance—it’s thorough!

If you’re looking for a fun day out where kids can splash away and parents can chill, this is the place. Don’t forget to try the coffee at Slider Cafe; it’s a delightful treat! Can’t wait for my next visit!

Bahrain National Museum

Walking into the Bahrain National Museum is like stepping back in time. The exhibits tell fascinating stories, from the ancient Dilmun civilization to the traditional crafts of Bahrain. I loved wandering through the recreated souq; it truly felt like a journey through history. Plus, the architecture is a beautiful blend of modern design and cultural depth, making it a fantastic site for photos.

One of my favorite highlights was the pearl diving section, showcasing Bahrain’s rich maritime heritage. The waterfront area is perfect for a leisurely stroll after soaking in the exhibits. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, which added to the positive experience.

There’s also a charming café where you can grab a bite. With a small entry fee and engaging displays, I highly recommend this museum for anyone visiting Bahrain. Trust me, it’s a delightful way to spend a few hours!

Bahrain Zoo

Bahrain Zoo is a lovely getaway with a surprising variety of wildlife. I enjoyed seeing local birds and desert plants, which made for a cozy and unique atmosphere. There’s something special about watching animals in their semi-natural environment while getting a little taste of the desert landscape.

One thing worth noting is that the zoo features bus tours, making it easy to navigate around the expansive grounds. Ideal for families, it offers picnic spots and small food corners. However, I wish there were more animals to see. The variety felt a bit limited, especially for those expecting more exotic creatures.

Overall, Bahrain Zoo serves as a nice break from the city, especially for children eager to learn about wildlife. I would recommend bringing water and snacks – trust me, you’ll want to picnic in this charming space!

Adhari Park is such a delightful surprise! The blend of indoor and outdoor attractions means there’s never a dull moment, whether you’re playing mini golf, racing go-karts, or simply enjoying a coffee in the indoor café. The rides cater to all ages, although I did find a few attractions were better suited for older kids, but hey, adults need fun too, right?

What I absolutely loved was the cleanliness and the space to roam around freely. The park has a lively vibe, perfect for family days out. However, it can get crowded on weekends, so a weekday visit offers a more relaxed experience. Did I mention the food? There are plenty of stalls to refuel with snacks and meals, which is always a plus after a day of play!

Adhari Park truly offers a charming atmosphere for family adventures, with friendly staff on-hand to help make the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend spending a day here—especially if you have kids! They’ll love every minute of it.

Wahooo! Water Park

Wahooo! Water Park is a fantastic destination for thrill-seekers and families alike. With its roller coasters, traditional rides, and an array of arcade games, it offers a fun-filled day out. The array of water attractions is especially delightful, allowing you to cool off while having an exhilarating time!

One of my favorite parts is the lazy river where you can float along, and maybe even catch some rays. The park is well-maintained, and there are plenty of spots to grab snacks. Just a heads-up, the lines can get a bit long on weekends, so plan accordingly!

The atmosphere is energetic, with laughter echoing throughout. If you’re looking for a fun day with the family in Manama, Wahooo! Water Park is definitely worth the visit. Just remember to pack sunscreen – you’ll need it!

Funland Center, Manama

Funland in Manama is more than just a bowling alley; it’s a hub of laughter and excitement! The friendly atmosphere makes it easy to strike up a conversation with fellow bowlers, which adds to the fun. You can roll a few frames while kids enjoy ice skating or playing arcade games nearby. The vibrant setting is perfect for family outings.

While the bowling lanes are a bit older and could use some TLC, I found the overall experience delightful, especially the staff’s helpfulness. With prices around 5 BHD for unlimited games and a snack bar nearby, it’s great value for the whole family. The facility even sanitized equipment after each game, putting health first!

In short, whether you’re a bowling pro or a novice, Funland is worth checking out for some cheerful family fun. Just don’t forget to bring your socks for the ice rink!

7. Dolphin Resort, Manama, Bahrain

The Dolphin Resort in Manama is a delightful spot for both kids and adults. I had such a wonderful time watching the sea lions showcase their talents, and let me tell you, they stole the show! For only 2.5 BHD, you get to watch a 45-minute performance that keeps you entertained. The trainers do a fantastic job engaging the audience, and it’s heartwarming to see how the baby sea lion interacts with the kids.

While it’s labeled a dolphin resort, you’ll mostly see sea lions. Don’t worry, though; these playful creatures will win your heart! Just a tip: weekends can bring crowds, making parking a bit tricky. However, there’s a nice little park nearby where you can unwind before or after the show. It’s a great place to create family memories, especially when the kids get a chance to feed the baby sea lion!

I really enjoyed the overall atmosphere, but the facility could use a little sprucing up to enhance the experience. Despite this, the engaging performances make it a must-visit spot for families looking for some fun in Manama!

8. Magic Planet, Manama, Bahrain

Magic Planet, Manama

There’s no shortage of fun at Magic Planet! This indoor amusement center offers a vast selection of games for both kids and adults. My kids couldn’t get enough of the arcade games and carousel. I mean, who can resist spinning around on a magical horse? The staff is incredibly friendly, especially the ones at the carousel who helped my youngest daughter when she felt left out. That was a heartwarming moment!

However, I did notice that some areas could use a bit of TLC. The maintenance of the lanes could be better, as we had to switch lanes during our bowling game. And while the games are fun, the prices can add up quickly with the swipe card system. But hey, if you’re looking for a place to keep the kids entertained while you enjoy a bite from the food court, Magic Planet is worth the visit!

Bahrain Fort (Qal’at al-Bahrain)

Bahrain Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a treasure trove of history that brings you face-to-face with the island’s rich past. As I wandered through this vast site, I marveled at the well-preserved Portuguese fortifications and the stunning views of the sea. The overall ambiance is peaceful, making it a perfect spot for photography enthusiasts.

The museum on-site offers intriguing artifacts that provide context to the fort’s historical significance. I found it fascinating to think about the stories behind the thick walls that once protected against invasions. Just remember to bring water and an umbrella! Exploring this enchanting place at sunset is a game-changer, with the Manama skyline lighting up beautifully in the background.

If you’re headed to Manama with kids, this historical gem is a great way to mix education with fun. The open areas allow for plenty of room to roam about, and I love the fact that it’s free of charge!
